Kamal Haasan would now feel that his apple of eye, Shruti, has grown into a big girl. One movie old Shruti is very keen to be independent and create a niche for herself in the big world of Cinema. A singer, music composer and actress, Shruti has send ripples in the Bollywood and also in her Southern hometown.

Bollywood being her launch pad for acting, Shruti is planning to shift her base to Mumbai. Sources revealed, “Shruti has been looking out for an apartment for herself, she is all prepared to make it big on silver screen and it’s very difficult for this pretty lass to travel in and out.” One will wonder whether she is get accustomed to the city ways. But do you know that the young actress as already tasted the Mumbai ki havaa? Yes, Shruti had stayed in the city for a year, few years back and had experienced all the good and bad things about the happening place. “Now she is all prepared for the same and quite excited about it too. After Luck she has few good offers in her kitty and wants to concentrate on Bollywood. Of course, her passion for singing and music will always remain her priority,” the sources further added.

Looks like after Asin, this starlet is the next actress to hop in and out of North and South abodes.

Shruti Hassan is a real daddy's girl. Before she joined the film industry, she ensured that she took permission from her father, Kamal Hassan. And now that her maiden film has been completed, she arranged for the film to be shown to her father for his approval. According to reports, director Soham Shah flew down to Chennai last week with his film, Luck, to seek Kamal's blessings. At a special screening which was organized in Chennai, the film was watched by the superstar along with his girlfriend Gowthami and Shruti's younger sister Akshara. Filmmaker Priyadarshan was also present on the occasion as the screening was held at his studio. It seems that Kamal was quite happy at the manner in which his daughter was presented in the movie, as a complete package. The actress has space in the movie to look glamorous, shows off her acting skills and her dexterity at the action sequences. Even Priyadarshan seemed to enjoy the movie, a fact which came as great relief for Soham. Meanwhile, there seems to be no attempt by Shruti to make up with her mother, Sarika. She was not an invitee to the trial show of the film at Film City. Of course, it is hardly surprising as the mother and daughter do not share good vibes and stays by herself in Mumbai. Shruti Haasan’s bikini scene in the recently released Luck is the talk of the tinsel town. However, the lady seemed to have no inhibitions in donning a two piece bikini when the directors instructed her to do so.

Speaking about her bikini experience, Shruti said that when she was told about the scene she thought it was just logical to the film and nothing more. The scene was shot in Cape Town when the temperature was down to two degrees.

Luck’s director Soham Shah said, “Shruti did work out to get a toned body. Moreover she worked more hard to maintain it. We shot the sequence in Cape Town. The temperature was only two degrees. She had to brave the icy weather for the shoot.”

Shruti is not my sister: Imran Khan

Who would want to make chocolate boy Imran Khan her brother? Even his actresses wouldn’t! Interestingly Imran mentioned in an interview that Shruti Haasan, who stars with him in Luck, is his close friend and like family to him.

When a journalist asked him that isn’t Shruti like his sister since he knows her from childhood? Imran and Shruti’s eyes popped out and the duo started laughing!
Shruti chose to call Imran her close friend and co-star. “Let’s not get into the brother sister relationships. We have been friends for the last so many years that I have lost count. We are romancing each other in the film so just keep to that. One can’t romance a brother, in fact the thought itself is repugnant,” she said.

Reacting on this Imran quipped, “Don’t use the word sister, it sounds horrible. We are more of friends. One can't romance a sister. It’s sounds very repulsive.”
